She is a member of Collaborative on Health and the Environment (CHE) and serves on working groups for the Center for Health, Environment and Justice. Nancy is a volunteer speaker in the southeast on behalf of the EPA Tools for Schools program and for Healthy Schools Network. As a member of Amnesty International, the author was selected as state delegate leader and has met with representatives for U.S. Senators and Representatives. She supports Transparency International's campaign against international corruption and is listed on 2009 Global Corruption Barometer: The human dimension. Nancy is an active member in the arts community. She is a member of the Alabama Writers ForumMobile Writer’s Guild where she and participated in public readings as a guest speaker and as a speaker .
